3.902-4.130” Bore LS1/LS6 Chevrolet MLS Cometic Head Gasket
This is the latest in head sealing technology, a unique Multiple-Layer system with special high-temp materials that is designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. The MLS is the ideal gasket for both aluminum heads to cast iron blocks as well as aluminum heads to aluminum blocks. No re-torquing is required. These are great for Turbo and Nitrous applications. Cometic's MLS (Multi-Layer Steel Head Gaskets) are ideal for both aluminum heads to cast iron blocks and aluminum heads to aluminum blocks. Two viton coated outer embossed spring steel layers with a steel inner layer that provides support to the gasket allowing multiple thickness. Withstands the shearing forces created by aluminum heads on cast iron blocks. Retains torque (once the gasket takes a torque set, re-torque is NOT required). Less clamping force is required allowing for reduced bore distortion.

Installaion instructions:
1. First, inspect the Cometic gaskets, insure bore size and thickness are correct. Inspect for damage and insure that viton sealent is intake and not damaged.
2. Clean the block surface with straight edge, razor blade or other scraper. Wipe down to insure debris is removed.
3. Cometic gaskets are not side specific. Lay the gasket on the engine block and insure all coolant holes line up. If they are not aligned flip the gasket so that all coolant passages are aligned. Blocking coolant passages can result in overheating and/or possible gasket failure.
3. Insure Cometic gaskets are flat on teh block and are not bound up on anything.
