DART block being honed in CV616 with Torque plates

After cleaning, line honing, boring for straightness and surfacing your block is ready to be final honed to size. Our first step is to attach our aluminum torque plate to your engine block, simulating the distortion a cylinder head would also provide in real use applications. We do not hone without torque plates for any performance application. We use a Sunnen CV616, the industry's gold standard in honing, along with Sunnen Diamonds and stones to achieve a 3 step plateau finish for the best ring seal and most power. Final sizing is measured with a Sunnen bore gauge and setting fixture, the bext measuring equipment on the market today.
